2019 CDC Guideline Survey

This online survey was designed to measure the impact of the 2016 CDC opioid guideline on both pain patients and practitioners. It was conducted between February 17 and March 15, 2019. A total of 5,856 patients, 68 doctors and 89 other healthcare providers participated.

To our knowledge, it is the largest and most comprehensive survey to focus on the intended and unintended consequences of the guideline and its impact on pain care. The CDC itself has not made a similar effort of any size.

Questions Q3 through Q11 were answered by pain patients only, while Q12 through Q21 were answered by both doctors and practitioners. Thanks to everyone who participated in this valuable survey.
